Speak That! Movement – Tiara M. Tucker

CEO, Tiara M. Tucker

Tell us about yourself.

In a nutshell, I am just the adult version of a little girl from Kankakee, IL, who is doing all she can to make her dreams come true while living in Dallas, TX!

Along this incredible journey from childhood to adulthood, I became a multiple award-winning PR and communications strategist, speaker, coach, mentor, community advocate, and social justice and mental health activist. In addition to my 17-year career in Corporate America, I am the visionary founder and CEO of Tiara PR Network, LLC, my communications boutique firm supporting and connecting clients and communities, and Speak That! Movement, Inc, my women-led nonprofit organization equipping and empowering professional women in business. I am also enjoying being the campaign and communications manager for my Soror of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Sheena King (www.SheenaKingforTexas), and the PR director for a social justice organization that can be found at www.LoveJustice.com. I currently serve as the 2022 VP of Diversity and Inclusion for the Dallas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). I also love being an auntie, living my life to the fullest, celebrating accomplishments, and being around happy people! I won’t bore you with more, but you are welcome to read my bio at www.TiaraPRNetwork.com/tiaramtucker

Where do you see your brand/business/passion in the next 5 years?

I am really excited about the future of my brands in the next 5 years, and even the next 5 days, 5 weeks, and 5 months because I am constantly visualizing and manifesting ways to evolve. I feel like this is my season right now because I have been putting in the work for decades and I have been faithful over the little things. My mind has been blown away with some of the honors and achievements I have received lately for my efforts, including being featured in Black EnterpriseSheen Magazine, the Illinois State University Magazine, D CEO Magazine, and so many more accomplishments, so I am looking forward to organically taking things to the next level. I would love to be booked for more public speaking engagements around the world to use my voice to transform lives; support more clients, business professionals, communicators, and organizations via Tiara PR Network; and equip, empower and celebrate millions of women in business with Speak That! Movement! I have a few things up my sleeve, so stay tuned!

How have your goals evolved over the years?

I believe in focusing on my dreams more than my goals. For me, my dreams are what I visualize and strive to make come true. My goals are always evolving because there are times when I reach a goal sooner than expected due to being focused and making the necessary sacrifices. Additionally, I am a sponge for learning, so as I learn more and am exposed to more, that makes me re-think ideas and stretch for more. I also don’t get too caught up in goal-setting with self-inflicted dates because sometimes we set our own dates of when things should happen in our lives versus trusting the process. There is so much to learn and achieve along the journey of dreams and goal realization, and if we are too anxious or too overwhelmed about reaching our goals, we may miss our lessons and blessings.

What message is on your heart to share right now?

As I reflected on the last few years of my journey to answer this question, I noticed that there was always something significant that happened with my life and brands during the months of March and August. March is the month that I was born and it is also the month when some of my wildest dreams were manifested over the years. It’s fair to say March is my new year! August biblically symbolizes new beginnings, and it just so happens to be the month when I stepped out on faith with a spirit of “yes” multiple times over the last few years of my life. Each time I stepped out on faith by saying “yes” to an opportunity, it reaped major benefits and took me to another level along my journey.

With that said, I’d encourage every reader to also pause and reflect on the past few years of your journey. During what years, months, or moments did you achieve great success or reach a milestone? At what points along your journey did you have a spirit of “yes” to step out on faith or walk into the unknown with a feeling of boldness and expectancy? How did it make you feel? What did you learn? Well, I want everyone to know that you have the power to say “yes” and to step into new years and new beginnings as often as you like. Life is meant to be a fulfilling journey with valuable lessons along the way. If you are not proud of where you are, seek deep within yourself and see what you have the power to change (Serenity Prayer). If you are proud of yourself and your journey right now, continue along the path you are going in, celebrate and pay it forward! Your best is yet to come!

Where is your favorite place to go in DFW?

I have so many favorite places to go to in the DFW, so it’s so hard to narrow it down. Plus, I’m in PR, so if I shout out a business that can go a long way! With that said, I like to continuously explore the DFW and ride through different parts of town because so many establishments and parks are popping up all over the place. I also enjoy checking out places that are recommended to me by others, and I am extremely passionate about supporting Black-owned business establishments because as a Black business owner, I know that we face challenges and obstacles that others may not truly be able to relate to. It’s not easy to start a business, get the keys to a building, open your doors, and commit to serving various personalities, so I salute all of the places that do so with style, grace, professionalism, and superior customer service! Never forget WHY you started your business!

How can people get in contact with you? What’s up next for you?

I truly enjoy connecting with others! I’d refer people to my two websites: www.TiaraPRNetwork.com (where I have a booking link to schedule time to chat) and www.SpeakThatMovement.com to learn more about me and my efforts. From there, feel free to follow me on all of the major social media platforms. Also, if you see me out in the community, please come over and introduce yourself to me!

This is the She is the Ish magazine, so tell me, what makes you the ISH?

This has to be the best question I have ever been asked in an interview! I am the ISH because I am genuinely and authentically being ME with a pure heart, while unapologetically: living my best life to make each day count because tomorrow is not promised; walking in my purpose to make a positive difference in the world; using my gifts to serve and bless others; finally feeling comfortable to let my light shine to inspire others to do the same; and most importantly, giving GOD the praise to bring others closer to Him along the way! #TGBTG
