Zianna Sanders – Ms. Diamond

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Zianna Sanders I am 14 years old. I was born in Waxahachie TX. In 8th grade I attended Charlene Mckinzy STEM program Now I am a freshman that attends Early College High School @ Timberview. I want to be a part of the Student Council and student youth and government. I will graduate in 2027 with my associate degree. I plan to attend Baylor University and later become a lawyer when I grow up. My favorite colors are pink and yellow. Some of my hobbies include: listening to music, reading books, doing puzzles, shopping, and playing board games. When I am not attending to my hobbies I love spending time with my family and friends.

Why did you attend Diamonds in the Rough Summer Camp?

Diamon in the Rough Summer Camp

I wanted to build a sisterhood with other girls who are unique like me. As well as attend workshops that build me up to be a wise young lady. Some being Rip the Bandage with/ Adriane here we discussed problems we had thrown under the rug and needed to address. I shared my own story and felt the relief that I needed in my life. Another one was creating my own mental health podcast w/ Tiara. My group and I talked about anorexia in hopes of encouraging a young teen who had been struggling with anorexia.

How did being crowned Diamond of the camp feel?

When I was crowned the Diamond of the camp, excitement shot through my body. It was a dream come true. I have previously done this camp two times before. While I did enjoy the experience, I felt very disappointed because I knew I could have done better. As it was my third time attending this camp, I put my all into my performance. I guess you can say the third time’s a charm.

What is some advice you’d give to another young lady wanting to be a Boss?

Strive for your goals no matter how far they seem. If you keep working, you’ll get there eventually. When you do, you’ll be so proud of yourself and all the challenges you have overcome.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I will be a freshman in college, hopefully attending Baylor University. I will be working on getting my bachelor’s degree with the hopes of later attending law school. As well as volunteering at different organizations to give back to the community.

What is a message on your heart right now?

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

I love to go to the movies because I get to hang out with my family and friends.
