My name is Laura Coffee, and I am 37 years old. I am from a small community outside of Birmingham, Alabama called Bagley. I am married to a wonderful man with whom I share two beautiful little girls who are 11 and 8. I have been a registered nurse since 2009. I am currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Jacksonville State University to become an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP).
Pageants have always been a huge part of my life, and after a lot of pondering the idea of re-entering the pageant world and doing a simple Google search, I came across the Prime Pageants website. This search turned out to be different… a pageant focused on personal goals and how to achieve them. “This is unique….” I thought to myself. All it took was one step out of my comfort zone and an application for a title holder, and before I knew it, I was crowned Mrs. Southern States Prime Ambassador.
My journey with Prime began, and I had no idea what transfiguration lay ahead. My transformation was happening with Mastermind classes that speak to you on a deep level and an accountability group to check in on your progress. I started to break out of my shell and began spreading the word on decreasing heart disease related-deaths in women, all while getting myself heart healthy. I also helped raise over $1500 for the Kids Heart Challenge with my two children.
In my journey, I met a group of amazing women! They were all on their own journeys but found the time to support others in the process. Now I am proud to call these beautiful women my friends. 2022 was a whirlwind, but working with the local fire department and charities made me realize that the change I was making for myself was also affecting how I helped others.
Being crowned Mrs. USA Prime Ambassador changed my outlook on the pageant system. I plan to inspire women with my reign and let them know that sometimes you must give up on the good to go for the great. Imagine a pageant where you interact with your sister queens who motivate and support each other, where the only competition is within yourself, and where your voice is your stage for change… that is where you find Prime Pageants.
