Hi there, I’m Teranika Douglas, the Founder of Raine Naturals, where we celebrate the beauty of skin and hair. “Raine” embodies the essence of our brand, symbolizing that every woman is a queen. In addition to my entrepreneurial journey that started in 2022, I bring a background as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Before diving into entrepreneurship, I dedicated my skills to supporting veterans in Guam and worked in the unique niche of psychiatry.

Being an entrepreneur requires wearing multiple hats, from marketer and accountant to social media expert and negotiator. Balancing work and life is a constant challenge, but the positive impact on customers and the greater purpose behind starting the business keep me motivated.

Navigating the field of nursing has its own set of challenges, especially in psychiatry, where diverse patient needs during the COVID-19 pandemic added complexity. Transitioning to Telehealth was a necessary shift, despite the initial difficulties.

While serving veterans in Guam, I embraced life-learning experiences that overshadowed any challenges. My journey includes working outpatient in Gulfport, MS, and inpatient at a hospital in Kankakee, IL.

Beyond professional accomplishments, I find fulfillment in being a child of God, spouse, and mother. These roles enhance my understanding of relationships and parenthood, benefiting my work as a Nurse Practitioner.

Looking ahead, I plan to return to nursing in some capacity while continuing to build Raine Naturals.
