Meet Geneva Padron

Since childhood Geneva has always loved learning new skills and has found empowerment through philanthropic and mentoring opportunities. In fact, due to her experience as a social media marketing manager, she had the pleasure of being a guest speaker for Prime Pageants’ Spring 2022 Social Media Mastermind. During this engagement she presented social media marketing training and proper usage to reigning queens.

Geneva obtained her bachelor’s in biology, minor in chemistry, and a paralegal certification through the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. Though she excels in social media marketing and sales, her passion is mentoring others. That is why in 2022 she created The Chrysalis Project, which is meant to prevent academic burnout in high school and college students.

Her biggest challenge has been kicking off her project, which is why she is very excited to work alongside some amazing people in her community to make a wave of change in her region. This year she is hosting her first event on June 13th at the Radisson Hotel in McAllen, TX. She encourages everyone to attend because we all have experienced burnout at some point in our lives and the speakers of the event will showcase tips on how to prevent and navigate through it.

Creating the event was such a challenge because she had a lot of self doubt and it was fueled by people telling her that she wasn’t the right person to create it. However, her personal experience with academic burnout and the passion she has to assist the next generation fueled her fire to move forward with her project. Her ultimate goal is to turn this project into a business where she can expand her outreach across the United States and implement The Chrysalis Project as an organization within universities to prevent academic burnout.

Until that becomes a reality, she will continue focusing on her position as an account executive for a top eyewear brand and working freelance as a social media marketing manager. Though Geneva is extremely busy on a daily basis, she understands all too well what a lack of self-care can do to a person. This is why she incorporates fun activities like modeling for local businesses, reading, dancing, and cuddling with her cats. Geneva will be representing the RGV region this September in Orlando, Florida as Ms. Rio Grande Prime Ambassador 2023. To keep up with this queen and her project you can find her on instagram under @Ms.RioGrandePrime2023 and @Rgv.Chrysalis.Project
