By day she’s an administrator and Pageant Queen and during all other hours a loving mother of 3 and grandmother of 5 beautiful grandchildren, Debbie spends all of her free hours baking and creating beautiful sweets for her business DebbieKakes.
She has always admired pretty cakes and wanted to know how they were baked and created combined the smell of baked goods propelled Debbie into a business that she didn’t know was inside of her. For the last five years, Debbie has been baking celebration cakes, holiday desserts, cake pops, and cookies.
One of the biggest challenges that Debbie has faced is working full time and being able to complete cake orders promptly for her customers. But believing that if you are inspired to do something, follow your heart, step out on faith and do it has kept her going strong.
The kickoff to her business was making her son’s wedding cake, which has been the first wedding cake of many for her clients. She loves baking and seeing the smiles on her client’s faces when they have a cake or dessert from her knowing that she made their sweet treat with love.
