A Survivor’s Story

Once a young girl, with her innocence stolen. Now a woman, with memories forever frozen. “Forgive and forget”, are the words they’ve echoed. But how can one forgive, when their voices continue to be bellowed? Memories come flooding when the traumas are triggered. Just to be told you’re just jealous and bitter. Emotions collide all at once, as you try to maintain your composure. They never see the cracks in your soul until you’ve been lowered. Bruises cover you, inside and out. While they never realize their own words echo doubt. Our souls forever carry the “stories”, for which they gave no query. Yet they still wonder, why we are forever weary.
