When you meet Katrina, she greets you with the biggest smile, and she’s usually laughing and cracking jokes. She loves making people laugh and her laugh and smile are contagious. She’s such a magnetic personality, and the “Selfie Queen”, because if you meet her, she may not know you, but she’s going to hug you and take a selfie with you. She has earned the nickname of “Paparazzi Queen” because she snaps photos nonstop.
A merchandise processor for insurance benefits by day, and a Certified Nursing Assistant caregiver for patients living with Dementia, her energy and love for making others smile seems to be endless.
She’s an amazing mother to her beautiful daughter, Somalia, actress, model, Pageant Queen, AND she has a twin sister, Bertina! (There was just too much fabulous to pack into one person, so God had to make two). But Katrina wants it to be clear, when it comes to college football, they are RIVALS!! Because she is an OSU fan, and Katrina is a hardcore Michigan Wolverine. For fun, Katrina loves shopping, traveling, and watching Law and Order: SVU&CSI MIAMI.
With all of this activity, you would never know that Katrina has an ongoing heart condition that sometimes slows her down. Completing projects or even just standing can be a challenge at times as she manages her Congestive Heart failure. Trying her best to take it easy and live a healthy life, Katrina is determined to not let her illness define her. She looks for the warning signs and takes it easy when need be. “I have a good support system from a host of family and friends who want to see me succeed in life and I appreciate them.”
Katrina has taken advantage of her heart condition, because God works all things out for good, and has partnered with the American Red Cross, raising awareness of heart disease in women. Leading teams for heart disease walks and continuing to educate others on thriving in spite of your health circumstances.

Katrina is also a Breast Cancer Warrior, even more proof that you can’t keep a good woman down! One of her proudest affiliations is being part of the Royal Productions Pageant System and part of the Northern Valley Region. Through pageantry, Katrina has found a sisterhood for all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities. Katrina won her age division and reigned as the American Beauties Plus Woman, now she’s back at it competing in the next age division as she has a birthday coming up this month!
She is also partnered with Ohio Women Against Domestic Violence, an organization that helps anyone that is being abused to seek help and find resources so they can still have a safe productive life.
What’s next for this energizer bunny? Katrina plans to continue branding herself and perfecting her craft as a plus-size model which Is her passion. SLAYING THE RUNWAY Is her happy place.
and she takes it very seriously. (If you’ve ever seen her in action, this girl can WALK! and she SERVES face!). And you can’t expect any less, when her favorite quote is “STAY FABULOUS”
This winter, Katrina has plans to take classes to become an EKG TECH, while becoming an entrepreneur and launching her own business. A few other things in her already jam-packed schedule, Sept. 19 at the Lennox Theater in Columbus, Ohio, Katrina will be making her movie debut in “A Night to Remember: Fashion Show/Movie”. Then, September 29th, she will be rocking the runway in a Plus-size modeling and clothing brand fashion show.
And of course, we can’t forget, Katrina is turning 51 on September 15th! Happy Birthday SITIGirl! Keep shining bright!
