The Full Figured Industry Awards (FFIA) Shine a Spotlight on Empowerment, Body Positivity, and Excellence in the Industry of Fashion.
On November 2nd at 8pm we were able to be apart of history. Tawana Blassingame held a virtual media day that was built around the road to FFIA. In a world where diversity and inclusivity are taking center stage, the Full Figured Industry Awards is proud to announce its upcoming event, set to celebrate and honor the strength, beauty, and confidence recognizing models, designers, MUA, stylists, and more in the plus and big and tall industry. This groundbreaking event, that was scheduled for November 4th , is dedicated to recognizing persons of all shapes and sizes, fostering a positive body image movement that transcends societal standards and promotes self-love.
“The award show had many categories and it was our aim to streamline the categories so that we didn’t have so many. We respectfully made the categories more gender inclusive in an effort to respect how people choose to identify.”
The Full Figured Industry Awards serve as a platform to acknowledge the resilience and talent of plus-size models, designers, stylists, podcasts, photographers and influencers who have broken down barriers
and revolutionized the fashion industry. This year’s awards ceremony promises to be a night of glamour, inspiration, and recognition, bringing together industry leaders, influencers, and enthusiasts from around the world. In addition to recognizing individual achievements, the Full Figured Industry Awards will
present prestigious accolades across multiple categories, including Outstanding Designer, Makeup Artist, Blogger, Big & Tall Model, Plus Model, Silver Fox, Stylist & Photographer. Podcast of the Year, Best Boutique, Content Creator of the Year, Entertainer of the Year, Emerging Plus Model and Emerging Big &
Tall Model.
It will highlight the achievements of full-figured models, and fashion industry who have broken barriers, challenged stereotypes, and made significant contributions to various fields. This event aims to redefine beauty standards and inspire individuals to embrace their bodies with pride, regardless of size, promoting a message of self-acceptance and body positivity.
