Where are you from? I’m from Down By The River Babyyy! I’m a 912 Girl til the day I die! Savannah, GA!
What are you passionate about? I’m passionate about makeup of course, but I’m also passionate about Juvenile Justice which is why I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Strayer University. I’ll be graduating Summer 2026!
Whats the driving force behind it? I love children and teens! With my makeup business, the majority of my clients are Preteens and Teenagers that just need someone to listen to them and inspire them to be their very best selves.
Whats your skill set? I love when I’m given creative freedom when it comes to my clients. I’m an amazing communicator and listener. Outstanding Customer Service skills is DEFINITELY needed in my profession because you see everyday how entrepreneurs in the beauty industry treat their clients all kind of ways. What set you apart from others of your same field?
I would say the way that I pour into and speak life into every client I serve. The way that I, if needbe, will pray over you if I sense you need it. And the way that I’m a mom and understand that sometimes the kids are gonna cut loose while you’re having a little self care so I’ll stop for a sec so you can be mommy and then get back to your makeup when you’re ready.
Whats your purpose in life?
To inspire, uplift, and encourage everyone that graces my makeup chair. To be a voice for the youth that have nobody to speak up for them. And to shine my light everywhere I go.
If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career or talent you have?
As a young girl, I would ALWAYS get in trouble for playing in my mom’s Fashion Fair makeup so it was destined for me to become a Makeup Artist because I’ve always loved makeup!
What would you tell your younger self? I would tell my younger self to not care about what people think about you! I would tell myself that you’re STUNNING, even though you don’t have self confidence right now, you’re going to blossom into a fearlessly hardworking and gorgeous female BOSS!!!
Knowing what you know now, would you change anything in your past? I honestly wouldn’t because everything I been through in the past led me up to this point. I’m happy with where I am now. My business is flourishing, my family is thriving, and I’m completely blessed to still be here and able inspire others.
Who are your rolemodels?
My amazing mother, Edna Milligan, who is also my FAVORITE Zeta in the whole wide world! My outstanding spiritual mother and grandmother to my daughter, Evangelist Gwendolyn Broxton. I have so many spritual mothers that inspire me but these 2 are the epitome of a Proverbs 31 Woman. They both worked hard to raise their children and both are strong women of faith. I wouldn’t be the hard working and strong willed woman I am today without them!
What would you say to those that are starting out in your field? I would say “Baby Be Like Nike, and JUST DO IT!” Take that plunge! Take classes and practice on yourself! You may start out rough but overtime, you’re going to surprise yourself with how amazing you’re going to be if you put in the work and JUST DO IT! When I first started out, it was rough but I put in the work and I continue with my education because the Beauty Industry is ever changing!
What is your favorite quote? Explain? You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination. -Roman Payne
I love this quote because it’s simply saying, give it all you got when it comes to your passion so your dreams can become a reality! Which is what I do day in and day out.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 5 years I see myself as a Mortuary Makeup Artist and a Juvenile Probation Officer.
What or who has inspired your gift/vision? Besides my amazing mother, there’s one well known Makeup Artist that inspired me to pursue my Makeup Artistry Career by the name of BeatsByDeb. I loved how she was fearless with the looks she created and how she stood firm in her faith and love for God!
What is your favorite holiday and why? My favorite holiday is New Year’s because it’s the start of a new year and another opportunity for us to succeed in whatever we strive to accomplish.
If you could be any animal , what would you be and why? I would definitely be a Lioness because they’re super protective of their cubs and their loved ones in general and I’m the same exact way. They’re fearless and strong.
What is one fun fact about you? One fun fact about me is I LOVE to sing and I LOVE a really good and talented live band. Music in general to be quite honest. I developed a love for music at an early age thanks to my Mother and Late Father. They use to let us listen to everything which is why I have such a diverse love for music.
