Who says you can’t do it all?

Have you ever felt that you just have too much on your plate?  How many times have you said, “I quit, or I give up”?  I know Who says women can’t do it all?  Meet SITIGirl, Cambria Voeller!

Cambria and her Future Business Owners

Cambria is a single mom, working TWO full-time jobs, and a student.  It can be challenging, and she sometimes has to take her children with her to the salon after school, but rather than see this as a negative, Cambria uses this time as teaching this future generation how to operate a business.  Not only is she educating her children on effectively running a business at her salon job, but she is also a substitute elementary school teacher. How is that for pouring into the future?

What inspired her to begin her cosmetology journey?  She has been cutting and coloring hair since she was 12 years old.  When her great Aunt Mary called her one day and asked if she would be interested in coloring and highlighting her hair if she bought the supplies, Cambria excitedly answered “YES!”.  But once she became a mother, her purpose expanded when she took on a related arts teaching position at her daughter’s school to be more involved personally with her daughter’s education.  What was intended to be a short-term role, expanded because she fell in love with teaching.  Now Cambria is completing her degree in Elementary education.

Even though she’s a successful cosmetologist that has been doing hair and makeup for over 12 years, she says that being a mother above all things has been her greatest accomplishment.  Cambria had to fight her way out of an abusive relationship that left her financially bankrupt, and emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted.  Through the help of co-workers, family, and friends (it takes a powerful village), she is putting the pieces of her life back together.  She is also very grateful for the bonds she has with her clients when she makes them feel relaxed and beautiful.  They come in to chat with her as a friend and leave feeling like the Queen that they are, and that makes her feel so fulfilled.  Cambria SITIGirl thanks you for demonstrating daily how valuable it is for all involved when we pour into others.

In true SITIGirl fashion, Cambria says “I have met so many generous and amazing women throughout her struggles, and it’s my goal to give back.  Even if it’s just by boosting the confidence of another woman.  If I could share some advice, it would be to never doubt your worth.  Even when you feel like you are nothing, you are worth everything to someone”.

You can find Cambria at Elegant Hair Designs where she offers color services specializing in blonding and balayage, precision cutting, waxing, special occasion styles, and makeup services.  Elegant Hair Designs puts a lot of money back into the community by partnering with Wheeler Mission’s “Restored Creations” program.  They also sell products that are not only amazing for your hair but environmentally friendly and natural.

As far as the future, she will be finalizing her degree in Elementary Education, continuing her cosmetology services, and hopefully marrying her love, who is currently in the military, and starting a new incredible adventure of her journey.
