Where do you see your brand/business/passion in the next five years?
In the next five years, I see Bomb Ass Fro expanding our product line to offer a shampoo and conditioner and be in a couple of retail stores. Since we’re always sold out, I plan on adding a subscription option for my loyal customers to always have access to our products without waiting for us to restock. Ultimately, I want to continue to cultivate a community of people who have bomb products and can feel confident however they decide to wear their hair!
What has been your biggest accomplishment and why?
My biggest accomplishment is creating a successful product that solves my customers’ problems. I knew exactly what I wanted to produce and how I wanted it to be presented to the public. Being able to stay true to my vision for Bomb Ass Fro was very important to me, so accomplishing that has been major! My company was the first CPG (non-tech company) to make it to NOEW. So I kind of did a thing there . Who would have thought a black-owned natural hair brand would make it to a predominantly tech-focused pitch competition? Never in a million years.
What message is on your heart to share right now?
You belong! I suffer from severe imposter syndrome and it can be crippling sometimes. Just know that if you’re in the room, it’s for a reason. Even if you can’t see it at the moment. Your insight is wanted and it is valuable. You hold weight. Stand in that.

What do you consider your “Superpower,” or as we call it, What makes you the ISH?
My “Superpower” is being able to walk into a room, be myself, and get people to see my vision with Bomb Ass Fro. Whether you’re bald, have a relaxer, or you know nothing about hair at all, I can get people to appreciate and understand what I am building. I’ve learned that not many people have that skill. If you can’t get people to buy in to whatever it is that you’re creating, you’ll have a hard time selling to your customers.
What do you love most about New Orleans?
There’s a lot to love about New Orleans! I love the culture, the people, and of course, the food! There’s no other place in the world like it.
There is NO PLACE in the world like New Orleans!!!
