Name: Niesha Mack Massingill

Family dynamics: I recently entered the journey of marriage and am delighted to share my life with the incredible Herbert Massingill. As a mother, I am proud to have two wonderful daughters, Kerrington Freeman, aged 22, and Kennedi
Freeman, aged 21, whom I gave birth to. In addition to my biological daughters,
my marriage has brought six amazing bonus daughters into my life: Vaneshia,
LaQuita, Ashley, Alexis, Asia, and Dajsha. Furthermore, we currently have the joy of raising Kandice Princess, our adorable 5-year-old goddaughter. In this way, I feel truly blessed by God to be a mother figure to a total of nine beautiful
daughters.

Hobbies/Pastime:

Here are some activities I hold dear:
——–Enjoying quality moments with my family
——–Destressing by doing retail therapy and shopping online.
——–Expressing myself through singing and fulfilling the role of Executive Pastor at Life Changing Anointing of South Florida
——–Engaging in fishing adventures in Key Largo, Florida
——–Contributing to my community through service with my sorority and fellow
queens
——–Prioritizing self-care by scheduling relaxing moments at my favorite spa.

Business/Talent? I own A Queen’s Heart, LLC, a company that encompasses
services such as pageant coaching, photography, public speaking, mentoring, and fashion consulting. Additionally, I am a partial owner of The Ultimate United
States and National Educators of America Pageants.

Where are you from?
I am a Miami native, having been born and raised in Miami, Florida.

What are you passionate about? My passion lies in my family, business,
pageantry, youth, ministry, and education.

What’s the driving force behind it?

The driving force behind my various passions is a combination of personal values, experiences, goals, and intrinsic motivations.

What’s your skill set? I possess a diverse skill set that encompasses administrative proficiency, effective communication, public speaking, leadership, expertise in pageant coaching for both stage and interview, strategic thinking, spiritual counseling, fashion consulting, event planning, and more.

What set you apart from others of your same field? What distinguishes me in my field is my deliberate pursuit of uniqueness. When it comes to my fashion choices during competitions, I am consistently driven to stand out and avoid resembling anyone else. Establishing my own distinctive brand is paramount to me. Moreover, my life story is marked by its uniqueness. Despite facing challenges that might have shattered even the strongest individuals, I stand resilient and, in turn, inspire others to persevere in their own battles.

What’s your purpose in life? My purpose is to live the life predestined for me by God, giving everything, He has placed inside me to help others. When my time here comes to an end, I aspire to have emptied my cup, having poured out all that has been placed within me for the benefit of others.

What does finding Purpose out of Pain mean to you? Over a span of 18 months, I experienced the loss of my husband, father, and pageant daughter. Prior to them, I unexpectedly lost my mother. Confronted by so much death, I found myself questioning why these hardships befell me. I grappled with the purpose of my existence, especially as my loved ones were being taken away. It was during this period of uncertainty that I looked at my children and realized they needed me just as much as I needed my parents. Amidst this challenging journey, I became aware of the many people observing my struggles, drawing strength to confront their own internal battles. It was then that God revealed to me the purpose in my pain. Despite the difficulties, I endured, and I continued breathing. God showed me that as long as I had a pulse, I had a purpose. If my experiences could bring about positive change in the life of even one person going through loss, then it was not in vain.

Some may look at you and say you are all put together, what do you do when you seem that you have a most challenging day? Appearances can be misleading. In challenging times, when the imaginary crown seems tilted, I seek refuge in a quiet space, realign my focus, and pray. It’s crucial for me to carve out time for self-care. If I neglect my own well-being, I won’t be able to extend the best version of myself to others.

If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career or talent you have? Even if I had the opportunity to select any career globally, I would still opt for the one I currently pursue. As an educator, I’ve had the privilege of influencing the lives of thousands of students. Witnessing children undergo transformation and being able to make a positive impact on families is a unique aspect of this profession. I wouldn’t trade my career choice for anything in the world.

What would you tell your younger self? If given the chance to speak to my
younger self, I would offer words of encouragement. I’d tell her to embrace her
imperfections, recognizing that her worth goes far beyond her physical
appearance. Regardless of her size, she holds incredible strength and confidence. Size does not define her, and she should hold her head high, knowing her true value. I would also urge her to take risks fearlessly. Breaking free from the constraints others may impose is essential. The world is vast and in need of her unique contributions, and she can’t make a meaningful impact by staying within the confines of what’s expected. Taking bold steps outside the comfort zone is where growth and opportunity lie. Lastly, I would emphasize the importance of living in the present. While planning for the future is crucial, savoring each moment is equally significant. Life is fleeting, and it’s essential to embrace and appreciate every experience, making the most of the present rather than being solely focused on the future.

Knowing what you know now, would you change anything in your past?
Reflecting on my experiences, if I had the wisdom I possess now, I would have opted to live more in the present and create additional cherished memories with my departed loved ones. Although we shared wonderful moments together, I can’t help but feel there was more I could have done with them. Despite that, I am navigating the pages of this book of life just as God has scripted it for me.

Who are your role models? My greatest role models undoubtedly are my
parents. Lurene Kirkland Mack, my mother, embodied strength as a resilient black woman who never shied away from challenges. As a police captain, she possessed a tough exterior but a heart of gold, skillfully combining correction with love. I admired her ability to guide and nurture simultaneously.
On the other hand, my father, Robert Mack, emanated a quiet yet powerful
presence. While not one to be boisterous, he left a lasting impact on those
around him. His words of wisdom were always profound, and he consistently
served as a supportive cheerleader for everyone he encountered. His philosophy centered around fostering success for all.

What would you say to those that are starting out in your field?
For those embarking on a journey in my field, I advise you pack your patience.
While students may present challenges, it’s the parents who often pose the
greatest tests. The education profession may not receive the same level of
respect and appreciation as some other fields, yet we wield the power to make
the most significant impact. Consider this: Where would the world be without
educators?

What is your favorite quote? One of my favorite quotes that I use is, “As long as
you have a pulse, you have a purpose” Explain? This quote emphasizes the value of life and suggests that everyone has a role or a meaningful contribution to make during their lifetime, regardless of their circumstances or perceived limitations.

If you were an animal, what would it be and why? I never considered it much,
but if I had to choose, it’d be a dolphin. They’re super smart, great
communicators, love to have fun, and are all about family. As a mother I love how they care for their young.

What does entrepreneurship mean to you and why? Entrepreneurship is
identifying a business opportunity or a need, coming up with an idea to address
that need, and then taking the necessary steps to turn that idea into a viable and sustainable business. Being an entrepreneur involves taking risk and I believe that we must take risk at times to receive the reward.

What sorority/organizations are you a member of? What does it mean to be a part of your organizations? I take pride in being a dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This choice was deeply influenced by witnessing my mother’s involvement in this sisterhood. The commitment to service exhibited by the women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. made becoming a Legacy an obvious and meaningful decision for me. Following in the footsteps of my mother, I am thrilled that my daughter, Kerrington, has also embraced this legacy. Additionally, I am honored to be a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. My motivation to join stems from my father’s affiliation with the Masons, and I desired to be part of this extended family. Being associated with The Order of the Eastern Star holds special significance for me.

How has pageantry impacted your life, if any? The impact of pageantry is evident in my self-confidence, leadership abilities, communication skills, fashion choices, and advocacy efforts. This transformative experience has significantly shaped various aspects of my life.

What advice would you give a new queen starting her journey through
pageantry?
For any new queen, my advice is to always remember that the crown symbolizes service. Embrace the role of being a servant and strive to set an example of selfless service to others. Stay authentic to who you are and
consistently portray the best version of yourself. Lastly, never be afraid of ongoing coaching and training to continually grow in the realm of pageantry. As a coach myself, I recognize the value of having a mentor to guide me in becoming the best version of myself.

What was your calling to be a minister? Everyone’s journey into ministry is
unique and personal. In my case, I grew up in the church with a natural desire to serve. Even as a child, I had a strong passion for reading, understanding, and
sharing God’s word. I remember creating my own church and preaching to my
stuffed animals because I felt there was more for me. As I got older, that passion didn’t fade; instead, it grew stronger. I was convinced that God had a specific purpose for me. Blessed with the ability to connect with young people and explain His word in a way they could understand, I took on various roles such as youth pastor, assistant pastor, associate pastor, and currently, executive pastor. This journey has been marked by a deep sense of
purpose and a commitment to serving others within the ministry.

What has been your biggest accomplishment? My top two biggest
accomplishments include raising two daughters as a widow and successfully
sending them off to college despite experiencing three major deaths in our family. Additionally, I have achieved the remarkable feat of winning 2 International, 4 National, and 2 State titles in pageants after losing 300 pounds. I am proud to have chosen to inspire others to compete in pageants through my journey of personal transformation.

What has been your best enjoyable or memorable appearance in the
community with this title and/or with any title?
Among the numerous
appearances I’ve made with various titles, the most unforgettable one for me to
date was as Queen Eminence of the National Sorority Pageant. It was a
tremendous blessing to travel to New York City and see myself on a billboard in
Times Square. This dream opportunity became even more special as I shared it
with my family. In my role as Mrs. Royalty International Plus, I flew to Kingsport, TN, where I served as an assistant to a contestant in the Mrs. International Pageant. Being in the presence of remarkable women from around the world was a truly rewarding experience. Additionally, I had the chance to share information about the Miss Royalty International System with women I encountered during this memorable
journey.

If you could leave a lasting legacy, what would that look like? If I could leave a lasting legacy based on what I’ve shared, it would look like this:
I want my journey to inspire others by showcasing resilience in the face of
personal challenges and losses. I aim to be a source of strength for those going
through difficulties, showing them that they can overcome and pursue their goals. In the realm of pageantry, I strive to empower individuals, encouraging them to embrace their uniqueness, follow their dreams, and find strength in their stories. My coaching and mentoring roles aim to uplift others in their own journeys. Through my various roles in organizations and commitment to community service, I aspire to leave a legacy of service and positive change. As a pastor, youth leader, and advocate, I hope to make a lasting impact on the lives of those I serve. Building on family traditions, such as my daughters following in my footsteps in pageantry, contributes to a legacy of strong family connections and shared passions. Passing down values and creating strong bonds within the family is a crucial aspect of the legacy I want to leave. Owning A Queen’s Heart, LLC, and being part owner of The Ultimate United States and National Educator of America Pageants reflects my entrepreneurial spirit. Whether in business or leadership roles, I aim to leave a legacy of making good business decisions and a commitment to growth. In essence, my lasting legacy is a tapestry woven with threads of resilience, inspiration, empowerment, service, family values, and leadership. It represents a life dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals, communities, and future generations.
