Where are you from? Im originally from Florida(30+yrs) but Alaska has been home for 5 years now and I’m more in awe of its beauty than the first year I lived here!

What are you passionate about? Count the Kicks organization (I stand as the Alaska ambassador) A campaign teaching soon to be mothers how to have healthy pregnancies and track fetal movement based on stillbirth awareness and prevention campaign.

What is the driving force behind it? After spending 2 weeks bedridden in a hospital, I lost my first child to stillbirth at just 30 weeks pregnant. Every year more than 20,000 babies are lost to stillbirth in the US. That’s more than 2 kindergarten classrooms every day.

Whats your skill set? Event organizing, detail oriented, positive Attitude, team player

If you could choose any career in the world, would you still choose the career you have today? Yes. My love for fashion inspired me to open my boutique

What would you tell your younger self? Pursue your dreams and don’t let anyone discourage you. There’s competition everywhere, be your own best competitor.

Who are your role models? Growing up it was Christina Aguilera, as a not well-off, young, Puerto Rican girl trying to find herself, I really connected with her and envied her strong female empowerment. Now it’s mostly just my grandmother (I still love Christina though!)what would you say to those starting off in your field? You always have a choice (positive or negative),
it’s how you choose to spend that next second, hour or day that will make the change you want.

What is your favorite quote? Explain. Shine bright in the dark, stay humble in the light! I live by this! It keeps me grounded

If you were an animal, what would it be and why? I would be an eagle; strong, elegant yet fierce and free!

What does entrepreneurship mean to you? Growth, strength! You can’t be afraid to fail. You just gotta get back up and go again!

Is this your first Pageant and how does it feel to be competing? This was my first pageant after a 20 year break!! I was so nervous but it relit the spark within me!

What advice would you give to a new queen starting her journey through pageantry? Don’t show up to win, show up to tell your story. Show up for yourself!

What do you plan to accomplish on an international spectrum for change while having this title? The healthcare system for pregnant women and getting doctors to practice Count The Kicks with their patients.

If you could leave a lasting impression, what would that look like? Knowing I saved a family from pain and grief of losing a child. Knowing a family did not leave the hospital empty handed. Getting materials and care to those who need it!
