April Harris is the owner of ICE LLC. Inspired Creations and Events (an event planning & design company). April, also serves her immediate community as an educator. She holds 2 associates degrees, a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree. She serves on the leadership team on her campus.
April believes in order to be successful, you have to take risks. Risk-taking as an investment in you. Her hard work ethic has made her business flourish. She currently teaches balloon training courses, and hosts premier business mixers. At the balloon training courses, she teaches others how to start profitable luxury balloon businesses. At the mixers, she brings in successful business owners; as well as those just starting out or aspiring business owners. These mixers are designed to bring our communities together and give all of us an opportunity to network, grow, support, and learn from each other. Just in the last 6 months, Inspired Creations and Events has had the privilege of collaborating with WIC, NET Health, UT Health, March of Dimes, Zales Jewelry; The City of Tyler & The Lady Organization on various conferences, fashion shows, and events. She is also a published author, and motivational speaker.
April has encountered many challenges on her journey. She is a domestic abuse survivor; and has dealt with autoimmune issues most of her life. She shared about spending spent countless days in and out of hospitals and surviving over 30 extensive surgeries.
During her teenage years, April accounts being passed around between almost 20 different doctors until one finally shared that she would be incapacitated for the reminder of her life. Her parents were instructed to make their home wheelchair chair and handicap accessible, because she could barely walk and had a very limited range of motion in her arms and other extremities at the time. When you see her today; she attests to be being a living example of God’s grace, love and mercy. Even though she has survived those storms, one of her greatest challenges was overcoming her own fears. It truly takes courage to step out on faith and know that God has got your back. Her smile lends her gratitude for each day that she has the chance to live and walk in His divine purpose.
She desires to leave a fingerprint that builds upon what you put in is what you get out of it. Small risks produce small dividends. Great risks produce great dividends. It’s a faith walk. She shares back to not be afraid to take a chance on you! You are enough, and you are worth the risk!
In her 20 years of devotion served in educating children and advocating for student success, she lends to others who have a desire to explore. One that will lead you on a journey that would grow you to be a resource for your community. She started out designing small events for family and friends for many years, obtained her LLC in 2019 and began to run! Since then Her business has transformed into a full-service event planning, event hosting, and event design business.
Although April is thankful for every opportunity that life has afforded her; She considers her greatest accomplishment is giving her life to Christ, and being a mother.
April simply loves bringing people together; genuinely serving others, and seeing people from all walks of life grow, learn, and become successful. She plans to continue in that vein, and continue to explore a few other initiatives that she plans on implementing in the near future.
